Theme: The seed of God.
Text: “…for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.” 1 John 3:9
Key Points / Expectations:
How the fruit of the seed of God can manifest in us.
In our September 2020 study we looked at the glory (distinctiveness) in the fruit of the seed of God with emphasis on the uniqueness and the impact of the fruit to man and creation.
In this (October 2020) edition, we shall be looking at how the fruit in the seed of God can be expressed in and through us, with emphasis on the activities of the Holy Ghost.
As we have seen in our past lessons, every tree without a fruit or inappropriate fruit is best fitted for the destruction, because it negates the values of its existence. Apparently, we may have all the knowledge, understanding, revelations and the doctrines of the gospel of Jesus Christ but without the fruit obvious in our daily living and activities, we are of no use. Therefore the Holy Spirit will continue to reprove and correct us until we are perfected, where we refuse to yield, we suffer loss. Luke 14:34-35, Luke 13:6-9, 1 Cor. 3:13-15.
It is important to note that the ultimate of the salvation of our Lord Jesus Christ is the expression of the glory in the fruit of the seed of God in and through us to reign over life and over creation. Gal. 6:15, Mark 16:15-20, Rom. 14:17, Matt. 16:18-19. So, we are expected to show forth this glorious fruit (made flesh) in the measure of the fulness of the stature of Christ Jesus as a way of life. John 1:14-16, Eph. 4:13, Eph. 1:5-6.
